DIFFERENT
PROBLEMS.
SAME WAY OF
THINKING.
I'm Bethany Hodge. I work across UX, visual design, content and digital strategy—turning complicated information, systems and ideas into experiences that make more sense.

DIFFERENT DISCIPLINES.
ONE INTEGRATED APPROACH.
INFORMATION ARCHITECTURE
Organizing complexity so people can find, understand and act with confidence.
UX + DIGITAL EXPERIENCE
Designing experiences that are clear, useful and built around how people actually think.
CONTENT + STRUCTURE
Turning complicated information into hierarchy, pathways and experiences people can actually use.
DESIGN SYSTEMS
Building flexible patterns that create consistency without limiting expression.
CREATIVE DIRECTION
Connecting the strategy, structure and visual side of an experience.
GOOD DESIGN DOESN'T START WITH THE DESIGN.
The thing someone asks to redesign isn't always the thing that's actually broken. I start by understanding the problem, the people involved and the context everything lives in. When the thinking gets stronger, the experience usually follows.
CREATE STRONGER
EXPERIENCES.
THE THINKING
IN PRACTICE.
Different projects require different outputs. What connects them is the process of figuring out what the experience actually needs before deciding what it should look like.

I CARE ABOUT
THE THINKING
BEHIND THE WORK.
I'm most interested in the messy space where design, content, technology and organizational problems collide. That's where I can zoom out, find the thing underneath the request and turn it into something clearer, more useful and more intentional.
